I'm no tour guide, but here's our "new" front-room. With the paint job that our painter did, we also changed light fixtures and added window coverings (i.e. curtain rods and drapes). There's finally brushed-nickel light fixtures above the front entrance and at the landing at the top of the stairs. My wife and I picked out drapes. She picked out curtain rods and tie-backs. Then we put them up this weekend. Our front room went from "play room" to "sitting room" just like that! We'll have to take our time and find just the right furniture and piano now that we have the look we want with the walls, window coverings and light fixtures. Can you say, "happy," though? Proud, proud, proud of what we got done this weekend :)
